Radisson Blu Resort Phu Quoc: a truly best hotel experience

Updated: Jul 22, 2022

Vietnam is a modern country which is rich in culture yet modern and although it has modernised over the past few decades, it has not lost its deep roots in Asian culture. With staggering beauty and rich biodiversity of plants and wildlife, and with people who are some of the friendliest you will meet – I thoroughly recommend taking some time to visit.

We've decided to stay in Radisson Blu Resort Phu Quoc and here's our take on why you should stay there too.

Location: 10

The taxi journey took about 40 minutes, then we arrived in the resort. The resort, as expected, is HUGE (we had a tour of the whole resort using a buggy!) The design of entrance lobby is heavenly. The chandelier looks simple yet luxurious. Hallways leading towards restaurants and lifts are massive too. The resort itself is located in a perfect location, being next to a waterpark, not far from safari, and its literally beachfront. There's loads of trees too which makes it quite a tropical feel

The resort has different types of room, depending on your needs, and your budget.

Our suite was located in the main building, with a direct pool and beach view which looks stunning.

Amenities: 10

The resort has plenty of bikes for guest usage. There's several pool with different pool height, with cabana and loungers around it. It is situated next to the beach which is a big plus. Some villas are beachfront as well. There's a few restaurants in the resort itself, but there are other more outside of the resort if you fancy a different cuisine. A gym, salon and spa is within walking vicinity too. The resort itself provides activities for guests such as yoga, fishing, snorkelling, kayaking, etc. We tried the kayaking and fishing and I couldn't managed to finish the activity as I got sick half way through and felt dizzy haha.

Make sure to scan the QR code by reception so you can download the up-to-date list of activities.

Guest have access to Vin pearl water park, as well as the casino. No need for entrance fee if you're a foreigner as you only need to show your passport. If you fancy to swimming with the turtle island, the resort can book it for you.

Food: 10

One of my favourite cuisine in the world is Vietnamese. It is my second time in Vietnam and I just enjoy Vietnamese cuisine so much. The breakfast offers a big range of selection, from dumplings, cook, to continental. The avenue restaurant, eventhough HUGE, looked a bit busy on breakfast (or maybe it was a peak season when we visited), and yet the food is enormous and delicious.

Another restaurant in the resort is the Annex which is open for breakfast, lunch and dinner. The breakfast option for buffet isnt as much as the one in Avenue but its a good amount of variety i would say.

Meanwhile the a la carte menu for lunch and dinner is to die for. See separate gastronomic experience blog post here.

Service/Staff: 10

All staff are very professional and clearly loves and enjoys their job. They always have the smile in their faces, ready to greet you anytime they see you. All staff are quite equipt with good english and they are very accommodating. Some of them were very helpful to teach me some Vietnamese phrases too. We would've love to remember all of their names, to thank them one by one. I usually take note of the names of the staff in my E-note but unfortunately Ive missed to do it in this opportunity.

The very friendly nature of Vietnamese people is indeed very evident. Although all of them did an excellent job, one staff stood out and she provided with an above excellent customer service. Lan was full of enthusiasm and love for her work. I did remembered her name because she took our food order on a daily basis whilst were there. She even reserved us the best table in the house.

Best Hotel Experience: 10/10

Id rate this resort a 10 out of 10 because it is a perfect destination for families, couples, or if you'd like to be alone and have some solitude. This might be controversial but Radisson Blu Phu Quoc is a perfect alternative to Maldives, or even better than Maldives.

Would I recommend to family and friends?

Yes definitely. The resort caters for everyone so I am pretty sure everyone will enjoy it there.

Would I come back?

Yes definitely. In fact Ive been telling my whole family to visit Radisson Blu Phu Quoc already, and we are planning to come back with the whole family!
